The real history of St. Patrick is pretty rough (and involves kidnapping, druids, and curses upon the land) but the reality of our celebrations today have taken a much gentler and significantly less religious turn. Today St. Patrick’s day mostly involves parades, the color green, and lots of heavily-themed food and drink.
